Literature Text
Gravity erased itself from the world,
as I wrapped my poetry around your hand.
My soul finally floated up, out of me,
while you drifted into the stars.
We are two impure spirits caught up in the universe,
riding to another galaxy.
We are convinced this is the road
that leads to eternity.
But we have let nothingness entangle us,
and we have let perfection escape us.
And we have finally realized that
the past was beautiful as it was.
This is not the road to eternity.
No, this is the road to our agony.
as I wrapped my poetry around your hand.

But we have let nothingness entangle us,

This is not the road to eternity.
No, this is the road to our agony.

Wielding Power
They have the power to build up or to tear down; the power to save or destroy.
They can ease a sore heart, or cause more decay, stop up the flow of tears.
Words can erase all our burdens, or increase the load tenfold,
so be careful the words you choose.
But mightier still is the one who can wield
the words in crafty new ways.
They can overcome the stresses of each daily life, create something new.
They can tear down the walls others build in defense
or raise the walls higher still.
Take care, for the words you choose every day
can cause others to stumble and fall,
or lift them on high, relish each thing in their life,

Terms and Conditions
I never read the fine print written on your lips—
Terms overlooked in the lines I loved
and conditions across your Cupid’s bow,
set to bind or to cut loose;
I didn’t see,
I didn’t know.
It is my truth
that so often my downfall
are all the blue distractions…
You never heard
my Morse Code heart beat,
these elaborate red productions.

End of the Line
What you do not want to hear
Is that there is no hope
What you do not want to hear
Is that there is no where to run
What you do not want to hear
Is that you failed
What you do not want to hear
Is the snickers and taunts
What you do not want to do
Is let go of the only thing that has meaning to you
What you do not want to do
Is end it all
But what can you do
If all the voices tell you
Yes, Yes, Yes, Yes

So this is a little something I conjured up when I went through a few of my old poems! Here is the original: The Road
I think I've improved a lot and so I've decided to rewrite some poems more often, it's actually a ton of fun!

This is really nicely done. I love how the poem even seems to be drifting away as you read it.
